A buddy of mine got his first deer the other day 15 minutes into his first hunt ever! His bow is a 1978 compound I have never heard of with no peep, no stabilizer and has a max draw weight of 45 lbs. Of course I tried to discourage him from hunting with that, but he was stubborn and decided he wasn't going to upgrade (or fully compliment) his bow until he found out if hunting was for him. He bought a rest and a release that I put on for him and I cut him some arrows. I don't talk to him too often, but tonight he told me that he walked into the woods (loud as heck I'm assuming) saw a doe, attempted to knock an arrow and had it fall of TWICE without the deer running away and shot and made a clean kill at 15 yards. Now I didn't belive this at first, but sure as S*it I saw the pictures and the meat and just laughed. He's hooked, but I told him never ever ever will it be anywhere near that easy again. Haha that deer must have been eating that wacky gr [no swearing please] or somethin'. And to think I can't get my best friend, whos an excellent hunter, his first deer in two years. Ahh[confused][confused][confused][down] LOL
