I can only speak for myself but I have no iterest in hunting I'm not formiliar with on the small chance I will get a shot at a bear but the greate chace I will get "Jersey Joed" while there.
For gun I have my own land in Huterdon and public there within 15 mi. drive that WILL produce deer along with 2 bowonly properties in Somerset that I stand a chance of taking a good buck with my bow and little to no JERK FACTOR.
Would I pay good money to sit a bear bait with my bow or do a horse camp spot and stalk rifle hunt, you bet and if I could bowhunt bears here in NJ I may be temped.

The way I see it here just south of Asbury we have a few of them but problems are rare when that changes I will hunt them for the fun of it if I can, if I can't I will deal with the problem with expediance and finality on an individual basses like I handle most issues.

Wonderful. Had an anti neighbor tell me that all the DEP is good for is a bear hunt (she had no idea we hunt). Next time I'll tell her all her and her friends are good for is clogging the already clogged legal system. And there is a reason a BEAR can't file a lawsuit on it's own behalf... ITS A BEAR.
