According to Kittatinny's pamphlets... Aeroflex Lake is one of the deepest in NJ.

Located in the Pequest River Drainage, at an elevation of 528 feet, it is one of the deepest lakes in NJ.

Looks like between 100 and 105 feet deep.

On the north side of that place is a little blue house. Years ago (not sure of the time frame... but quite a while ago), it was owned by a hunting/fishing club. They stocked the lake with lake trout and supposedly had a pretty good deer herd in the area too.

that's also the holder of the states salmon record. that club used to stock salmon in there.

You might be right... I know it was stocked with salmon once upon a time though.

It's on the north side of 206. I'm not sure where you'll be coming from but if you take 206 north through andover, you'll come to an exxon station on your right... make the right there and it will lead you straight to it... it's up a mile or so on your left. There is an airport on the far side of it... you can't miss it.
