I'll be on my honeymoon [kiss] next month, and I'd like to take a 1/2 day to fish. Anyone have a good open-boat reccomendation?

Good luck! I was out there in march. We trolled for 8 hours only to see a few mahi. Trip started great. Water was very calm, then out of nowhere it got ROUGH. Next time I go out there i'm jumping on the Bite ME. They do shared charters.

I just did some research. I'll be there during the Hawaiian Islands Billfish Tournament (HIBT). Every boat/charter I've checked is booked!! [wallmad][wallmad]

If every boat is chartered, stop by the Melton Intl store across the highway from the marina.

Explain your situation. They might be able to steer you in the direction of an available charter or private boat owner looking to fish.

I was offered a night shark fishing trip when I mentioned that I should've booked a third charter.

Good people there.

If not - there are half day Ulua trips where you wrestle 100lb GT's right outside the harbor.
