I usually hunt these rivers in November and December.
It seems too early with boating as an issue.

I'd like to set up on Gunney or Starvation Islands.

I don't think I would do it. I think there will still be fluke fisherman in the river.

It's a tough call if it is open. I fish these rivers as well.

Stripers run right into duck season.

You'll definately have boaters and fishermen swinging past you. I've also had kayakers row by on several occasions as well as water skiers p [no swearing please] very close to my spread.

Ahh, the great outdoors.

I've had striper fishermen yell at me when I set up last year.
