Well I spoke with Erine lastnight, what a really nice guy. He answered all my questions, gave me no BS, I feel good about going in 2006, I will speak with the guys sometime today, and get the ball rolling. Hey IMB pack your bow, and bags we be going deer hutin!!!!!!

Till our trails cross,
PS There are 243,000 hunter in Iowa 195,000 are Residents the other 48,000 are Non-Residents, 92% are male, 8% are female. Hunter numbers drop by 34% since 1996]
From talking with "35" who has been to Steel Creek this hunt sounds awsome, I also spoke with Ernie, and I have to agree with "35" that he is very polite, professional, and answered all my questions. We can't wait to go...."35" shoot the small ones this year allowing the big ones to get bigger for 2006, so I can whack one
Checked the site, nice bucks, Gene's 285# nice. Total trip still over $3000.+ I can hunt there a month for that kind of money. Nice looking guide service. Other than travel, tags, gear and lodging, I can't see paying anybody that kind of money. Unless, the terrain or area is rough or hazardous.
Looks it! I went back to the site and found his maps links, nice looking property. Price is really good after pushing the pencil around. I do a little traveling and always drive. How do you figure gas costs. I figure $.45 per mile, this is both there and back. My 2000 Ranger 4.0, 4x4 ext.cab w/cap get around 16-20 mpg. This acoounts for tolls, wiperfluid, oils, air(hate they charge for it, soon they will sell bottled air for us) etc.
