Also, after locating your Tom and if you're using decoys, try to keep the hen decoy(s) facing away from the direction that you think the Tom will be coming from.
I've hung up five nice sized Toms at one time at about 40 - 45 yds. (honest, all kiddin' aside) because the hen decoy was facing in the direction that they were coming from & some couldn't see the decoy due to an error in placement of about 2 yds., and they others were waiting for her to come to them!!!
I couldn't see a clear path for a kill shot, so I had to walk away that day. [sad]
Talk about EGOS, though, those big Toms are the worst !!!!!
