I always wanted to hunt Anacosti Isle but by the time I could afford to go Canada started charging for the privilage of bring our guns into their country. I figured to hell with them. Looks like I may have to reconsider.

Link don't work,,,,I hunted anticosti years and years ago.in Monte Jolie not sepac.had tons of fun,for 3 years straight,4 guys shot 2 bucks apiece.but nothing at all to brag about.just a place to go on a low pressure hunt with friends and family and shoot at stuff.I don't know how the hunting is now ,but I would go back just for the food,,yes I'm fat! [rofl]

Went to Anticosti in 2003 for the late season hunt in December. Three feet of snow on the ground and we put 15 bucks on the game pole. The landscape on the Island is similar to Maine. Would definately go back.[up]

If your looking to shoot just a buck, anticosti has them but dont expect a 150 " deer. It aint happening.

When people go hunting in canada and pay between 3-5 grand or more for the hunt plus airfare, tips etc etc the numbers matter.
