Well, after 3 months of waiting, I finally got my firearm ID card earlier this week. Now I need to find a gun shop. Searched excite's yellow pages, nothing!

I'm considering buying a Franchi 48AL 20 gauge for upland bird hunting, but I'd really like to see if it fits me before ordering one, and would like to see the Beretta 391 Urika also (have a friend selling a used one).

So...where can I find a gun shop in Morris County that has a large selection and knowledgeable sales staff that will take a woman seriously?

Went to Ramsey's in Ledgewood last night...they had a million 12 guages and maybe 3 or 4 20 gauge semi-autos, and kept trying to push a Remington synthetic on me. The thing must have weighed close to 10 pounds when the guns I asked to see are around 5 1/2 pounds.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, was hoping to find an instructor in western Morris County also. Any ideas on that one?

Thanks!

Can I buy in PA? Will be going within 25 miles of Cabellas in a couple weeks to go work with the trainer and my pup. Could plan a trip there.

Good staff nice place.
Not sure if it is still open don't see why it wouldn't be, but worth a try.

I agree with drag. I went to Cabelas a month ago looking at some guns and the guy behind the counter said they sell to NJ guys all the time. There are laws for transporting firearms across state borders but im alomst positive that you can do it.

Cabela's does except NJ Firearms cards.

Birddog, if you are looking for a special gun then shoot me an email and I will give you the name of a guy in Hunterdon county that sells guns dirt cheap,he doesn't have a gun shop but he has an FFl and he sells guns just so he can keep his license. Every cop that I know(especially state troopers) goes to him to buy their personal guns.
