I have a oppertunity to get permission to hunt some leased agricultural property in Livingston (or it might be Roseland or East Hanover)
Does anyone know if these towns have one of those stupid " cannot discharge a firearm or cast an arrow in city limits" laws?

i would think so.

i used to do alot of work for Livingston BOE. i would see deer all the time right next to the building or even in Heritage Middle School fields.

Call the town(s) to make sure....You don't want that mess on your hands..

Talk to local law enforcement as well.
For years I used to hunt a municipality with a no discharge ordinance and asked the local police department about it. They told me they would look the other way as long as I was only bow hunting. Their reasoning being that they would rather me shoot the deer then have to respond to yet another deer/car collision. That lasted for a good 10 years, last year however, due to ever increasing development and no way to enter the woods out of view of soccer moms, the police chief told me I couldn't do it any longer. Oh well, was great while it lasted.

If it is Livingston you better check with the police before hunting.
