I'll be taking a trip to Shepherds Lake and Lake Ramapo Sunday and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for bait and spots and what I can fish for.

Shepherds Lake is pretty good for B [no swearing please] and sunfish and there is a boat rental there as well. We used to fish the right side up along to the back and it was pretty decent. The lake also is stocked heavily with trout and has some deep holes so if you have your own boat with a depth finder than check that out.

Also, deep inside of Ringwood SP are some nice b [no swearing please] and pickeral ponds. Ask how to get up to the old model airplane field..

Fish live herring for any hold over trout. Fish them deep... right at the thermocline.
