What chokes is everyone using for turkey, and what barrel length/gun is everyone shooting for thier turkey. Also, what's everyone's theory... most turkey guns come with a shorter barrel, I have a friend who shoots a 30in though for turkey because his vision sees the sights better on a longer barrel (gettin old). he uses a truglo gobbler getter choke on that gun, and the pattern is extremely tight, good at 40, maybe too tight at 25. Realistically, with the layout of much of our land, what distance is everyone realistically taking shots at, and do you pattern your gun for that length, or at the maximum that you think you might shoot. For instance, if most of your shots are at 30, do you pattern your gun at 30, or at the longest length you would ethically take a shot at, risking that the pattern might be tight at your usual shot distance.
Sorry for the insight... im a little bored.

my motto is no such thing as too tight.the tighter the better!:p

seriously,my experience has shown when shooting a shorter bbl,say 24" or less,to shoot a choke with even more constriction(tighter).this is also recomended by Kick's,the mfgr of the Gobblin' Thunder choke tube.
