31 for me. My old man started to take me at 5 years old and i started to carry a gun at 7. He was a member of a club that had over 1000 acres and they let me hunt it. this was back in the 70's. i got my juvenile license when i was 9. I'm 38 so pretty much i've hunted all my life. it's a way of life. i just wish the wife would understand better.
Started when I was 12 and have basically hunted almost every year since--that's 25 yrs. However, I felt like I didnt know what the hell I was doing until I was about 25 years old and then have enjoyed myself a lot more.
I met a guy when I was in Business School back in 1992 that really showed me how to deer hunt and then my buddy from home also helped me learn a lot.
i started about when i was 27.i'm 29 now and still haven't killed one.don't even know if i'll get the chance next year being as of now my guns/bows are in police custody.long story short was i thew a cup of water at my 20 yr old sister(just the water not the cup) and she called the cops got arrested for"domestic violence"and terroristic threats"
so i have to wait till i go to court and see what happens next. she later dropped the charges but the police filed there own charges and aren't dropping them them.
Legal since 1980. Went with g-pop who raised me. I remember 1st year trapping. Last year Delaware bay was froze solid. 1978. It looked like pepper picker out there when they where getting $8+ for muskrats.
Bow, Gun and Trap. Hard everyyear.
