I normally use Lightfields for deer, but was wondering if anyone had positive/negative reviews on the knock down power of Hornady SST's for bear.
Lets hear your slug experience with bear kills...

A field tip arrow thru both lungs of a bear will drop it in a short distance...my point being nothing dies easier than a bear. A bears lungs are larger than a deer and extend further back. There is no reason to hug the shoulder holding 3 or 4 inches off the front leg line on a broadside bear will give you pleanty if room for error

Like smoking gun said if it works on a deer it will take down a bear.

Dropped two deer with SST's last season and they didn't go far, one-shot each. Accuracy was very good in my slug-gun. Will use the same for bear.

Killed 8 of them with a 100 grain thunder head 70lb draw pick your spot and shoot.Small targets makes small misses

I love sst been shooting them since they came out . Every deer I shot with them dropped I'n sight or where they stood , but with that said it's about shot placement hit them right with Any slug and there not going far...

I use ssts for deer and it blows apart both shoulders. It'll do almost as much damage to a bear. I plan on using this for my deer and bear hunts.
