I know last thanksgiving i bought a small pig to stuff in the oven and that wasnt cheap. so in that sense it might not be a bad idea. whats a 200lb pig cost these days?
6+ per lb for pork in Shop rite. $1 a lb on the hoof is a great deal. I have never been there but the hogs are running the entire island. You get dropped off and hunt. You don't walk up and shoot it.
Matter of fact if you aren't a good shot you better be a good swimmer [hihi]
I have been there with a group of guys a few times and it was a blast. It is what it is, a paid hunt with a guaranteed kill, plain and simple. The meat was always excellent and the local butcher there makes great sausage and keilbasa.
Paul, use your bow instead of the slug gun. That will make it more interesting. Be ready to stick it more than once.
