[All Seasons]

I am picking up some drums tomorrow and I have the feeder timers but im not sure how I should hang them. Either make legs for it or some kind of hanging bracket. But I want to be able to put a few hundred lbs in it without a problem. Anybody have plans or suggestions on the materials to use?

I just ordered these leg extensions from Cabelas. Read the reviews and it looks like you can add some fence posts or conduit to make it the height you want. Putting it all together and painting it will be my next project.

How did you secure them to the drum?

I used a piece of 3/4" emt and drilled just below the lid ran the rope thru the emt.When I lowered it you can still fill it nice and easy

what are you using to raise the filled drum? Boat type winch, block and tackle or just a pulley?

Our gun club uses 55 gal drums and we do something simular as Runum...We raise it up and down with a block and tackle that is sold as a deer skinning gambrel with a self locking lever...Works great !

Can you completely fill it without the heavy weight tearing the drum? and How long does it last you once you fill it?
