Ok, so here it is...The date is set for October 22nd, 2005. BowHunterCop will be hunting this property we are going to hunt, all day. If anyone else wants to hunt all day, caontact him. We will be scouting the sunday prior if, anyone wants to come and scout with us. The date is October 16th. I will not be hunting the morning, but will be going in the afternoon.

The meeting place is up in the air. I see there are alot of guys not familiar with the area, as myself. If someone wants to help us out and come up with a place for all us to meet, that would be great.

If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to offer them.

We all can meet on SUNDAY OCTOBER 16th at the JEFFERSON DINER/PATHMARK PAKING LOT, located on RT.15, what time will be made soon, if we meet in the moring we can have breakfast. Whoever is coming to scout, and WILL BE HUNTING FROM SUNRISE ON, bring brite eyes so you can find your way in the dark, and when you mark the trees with them, you must use at least 4 per tree, cause there are numerous trees with 1, 2, 3 brite eyes on each tree. Don't think your going to see tons of deer, this is tough hunting it's has mountains, and you have a great chance to see bears, but I feel we all should see deer. If you have a walkie talkie bring it

BHC, you taking everyone to the Del. Water Gap?

If so, where abouts do you plan on hunting in there? I turkey hunt up there a lot, but havent gotten in there to deer hunt yet. I do deer hunt right near there, but the land is way too small for everyone.

I hope these guys understand it can be rough hunting up there. The deer are WAY spookier. You really do have to be scent free, because these deer are NOT used to humans. Its big woods, and it can be hard to pinpoint the animals too. BUT there are some MONSTERS in there, infact, most the bucks I see around there are big.

Oh yeah, just a thought....Its not a problem for me, but for some guys, it might be easier to meet up at the "five star diner" off of 206 in Branchville or somewhere even closer to the land. Not everyone will be coming up 15 and it would be a long way to backtrack from 206/15, or if people are coming from 94, 23, 521 etc. Plus they have a smoking hot waitress.[up]:D

The closer the meeting place is to the actual hunting land the easier it is for everyone. I cant think of any diners up near where we are going though. The Hainseville store has food, but its not like you could sit in there and BS. Any other ideas on where to meet?

Oh how about the place right next to Stokes Sports? (I cant think of the name)

Sounds like two fun-filled days...[up]

1st thing 1st. We need to set a time for the scouting on SUNDAY OCTOBER 16th., So reply back as to what time is good for you. The MAJORITY wins as far as the times, so if most want AM its AM , if its PM then PM it is.

ANYTIME WILL BE GOOD FOR ME!!!!!

Once we get the time then we will deal with the place to meet up.

I will show you guys where to hunt (walk in from the road), we will spread out over a few miles to cover more ground, what tree you go up is up too you, cause you really can't pattern the deer up there, its just tough hunting Like I, and Matty posted. Out of all of us someone will see a bear. No one spot is better then another, its all good, you will see and Im sure you all will love the scenery.

Couple of things:
1) For scouting, I'd prefer to do it in the PM. Sunday AMs are no good for me.
2) Exactly where exactly will we be hunting. I'd like to get some aerials and topos for this area. What town is it?

You know I heard North Jersey bears dont like Southern Jersey boys. Hope you are all from above Rt 80. I heard they can smell the difference, and eat Southerners on sight. LOL:D Dont let that scare ya though, theres only like 3 bears per square mile in there. And they only average about 400#. :p:D

Seriously, expect to run into bears in there. And know how to respond, because we dont want a repeat of the guy in Chester. You know, the world cl [no swearing please] sprinter that out ran a bear for a half mile.:D
