I don't know if the pike in the passaic were just very active yesterday, or it's because they just haven't seen one of my spinner baits since mid August before the hurricane.
I took my kayak out yesterday morning for about 3 hours and landed 5 pike up to 34" and lost 2 at the kayak and also missed a few other great strikes.
The water was very clear and not too fast which made for a nice morning.
After the rain today and tonight, it may be a couple more weeks for good conditions. It was a nice change of pace from sitting 20 feet up waiting for a nice buck.
