After 4 hours in a tree this morning, I was thinking about going out in the afternoon for some kayak action, out front. I launched in NOMOCO at about 2 PM and found bunker being chased by stripers. I didn't want to snag bunker, so I stayed outside the schol and landed 3 nuce stripers up to 32 inches.
After that I started chasing birds and stripers on sand eels and landed close to 20 more at just about keeper size right until dark.
Total for the 3 hours was close to 25 stripers. A stiff 20 MPH west wind made for an easy launch and landing, but once I was about 1/2 mile offshore, the wind really took it's toll.
