LOL !!!!! I did, then I traded it in. The Toyota dealer paid off my Ford loan in full, got a great deal on this Tacoma. There was 2 alike, but the one I purchased had alot of added dealer installed stuff. I think someone wanted it, then went back on the deal. It was almost $34,000 sticker, got them down to $29,500 with the exteneded warrenty included. I just got back from there, my Reg., and Tags came in.
Let me tell you, like night and day !!!!! That Ford F-150 got 14mpg Hwy. I must say it drove like a dream, but it ate more then a FAT LADY. The Toyota is getting 17 plus mpg, and drives just as well. Thats the 2nd Toyota Tacoma I got from this dealer, both times treated me well, the Ford dealer was also great, but then agian an officer I work with also works there got me a great deal.
I use to drive 140 miles round trip also for 3 years when I 1st became an officer. That dealer had a few Tacomas in stock this morning, I also saw that they where unloading a few more off the car carrier.
joe you know i love the toyota trucks i have had three of them and i still have one. but the money you spent you could of bought a four door dodge fully loaded with a HEMI motor and twenty inch rims and still saved 4,000 dollors...
For the money you paid you could have almost got a 3/4 ton Dodge with a Cummins! This is the truck I drive, and I get low 20's for mileage, about 50/50 highway/country driving. I am like you and put a lot of miles on my truck (100 miles/day commute) and I was thinking of longevity when I got the diesel. When your truck is 5 years old, it will not be worth much with over 150K miles on it, but a diesel is just getting broken in.
