Has anyone here gone goose hunting at Assumpink? Specifically on any of the field? I'd like to go out but don't know where to go.

Thanks,
David

Kris,

You know what's funny is...
I don't have any decoys
neither do I. I'll be buying some in the very near future. I've just got my blind and a goose call.

Now I just have to find out where to go???

Send me an e-mail at [email protected] with a # I can reach you at. We'll work out the details.

yoda - let me check the seasons dates... I don't think we can start whacking Canada geese again until November.

Also I have all of the following (except decoys):

- steel shot
- NJ stamp
- Federal stamp
- HIP number

Drag,

Those are the easy things to get. LOL. The big $ items are the decoys & blind. And of course, a piece of property is not easy to get.

Thats the tough part. The place I used to hunt is now townehomes.

We need a cornfield, or a golf course.

Why can't we hunt Assumpink?

The fields where the UBNJ shoot was would be ideal.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't. I just don't know where. What kind of fields are they? Grass, corn, soybean, or something else? And the big question is, do geese visit them? One last question, where are these fields?

try the old mine road area
I know a guy that used to jump shoot ducks there. Maybe when I get my dog. My fear is running into guys with a decoy spread.
