HEARING ALERT - BLACK BEARS

On Tuesday, June 21, the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will hold a hearing on changes to the Game Code for this fall and winter, including the possible inclusion of a bear hunt. Animal rights activists are expected to be out in force, so it is important that you attend and make your voice heard.
The hearing is on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm at the NJ State Museum, 205 West State Street, Trenton, N.J. (on the same street as the Capitol Building). Driving directions are available here: http://www.state.nj.us/state/museum/

The NJ Federation of Sportsmen is sponsoring a bus trip to this hearing, leaving at 4:00 p.m. from the parking lot of the Ramsey Outdoor store in Ledgewood (1039 Route 46 West, Ledgewood, NJ 07852.
For directions: http://www.ramseyoutdoor.com/about_us/about_index.htm.

Food and soda will be provided. For additional information about the bus trip, call 973-691-9355 or 862-266-0508.

We have a group going from Camden County also. I'll be taking my camera this time. It really is a FREAK SHOW on the ANTI'S part. I'm planning on wearing my T-Shirt that says:

SUPPORT
People
Eating
Tasty
Animals

:p

I just might be the one the one on the 11 o'clock news rolling in the aisle with a few of the BUNNY HUGGERS [mad]

Opposition is a no-brainer

Deep within the many pages of the proposed 2005-2006 state Game Code you'll find the section titled "Social Impact." Readers of this part of the document, mainly those who feed and house wise-mouthed teenagers, might find themselves prompted to imitate their sarcastic offspring.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious," a 21st century upgrade of Holden Caufield acerbity used these days to make dumb parents feel dumber, is the comment that comes to mind.

No offense to the state Fish and Game Council, but the proposed Game Code didn't really need to make this observation: "Animal rights advocates and persons who are philosophically opposed to recreational hunting, trapping and the killing of animals can be expected to oppose the proposed changes which will continue or enhance hunting and trapping opportunity."

The newest member of New Jersey's Fish and Game Council was appointed yesterday to chair the group, and his first official act will come tonight when he oversees what is likely to be a raucous hearing on a proposed new bear hunt.

The same whack jobs that were out Thursday against the Sunday Bowhunting bill were the first four ladies to speak tonight. The first one, Barbra Pizzar couldn't even stick to the guidelines for the public comment. Typical Anti - hunting dribble.

Drag, your favorite Anti, Barbra Dyer, was the only one who was respectful and kept her comments to the game code. I was impressed.

BORING, BORING, BORING[sad]
What a disappointment. There were only 50+ speakers and 80% were pro hunting. No one really got wacky. I guess I got the most attention when I spoke. It wasn't what I said, as much as the ANTI PETA T-Shirt I was wearing. People told me that alot of pictures were taken while I spoke. I've been told that the anti's are not as gung ho on public displays ( as in past years ), as they are in fighting us in the courts. The State was prepared though, with about one uniformed officer ( State PD & Fish & Game ) for each Anti. Yes, it was disappointing on a freak show standpoint, but pleasing in that " WE " showed up in strong numbers to support our beliefs :)
We must never give up our vigil or take our hunting privileges for granted !!

Supporters of a bear hunt outnumbered opponents last night at a state Fish and Game Council hearing on a proposal to hold a bear hunt later this year.

Brian Dolobacs of Trenton wore a T-shirt to the Tuesday night hearing underscoring the divide. It said, "Vegetarian: An old Indian word for 'bad hunter."
That's me.
