a friend of mine who hunts the mid west every year and knows alot of guides services put this web sight togather. He started to feel like alot of east coast hunters heading out to ILL,KANSAS etc were getting taken advantage of, so he decided to put this web site togather to get hunters feedback(good or bad) of guide services from all over. It's a cool site that just started check it out and join, post pics, storys etc.

That's a great idea as long as no one starts telling stories. [up][up] to your friend.

This can also backfire for outfitters. We all remember an Iowa outfitter who got blasted on this site . Turns out the outfitter has an outstanding reputation.
Just that the guy who went was expecting gourmet meals and recliners in the tree.
Hopefully the reports are legit.

good point but that is always the case when looking at outfitter review sites.a hunting trip or outfitter review is subjective.each hunter has their own impressions, expectations, and experiences to help form their opinions.
then there are others who may be best buddies w/ the outfitter so they write glowing evaluations, etc.plus alot just cater more to prostaffers, etc.

from BHC (this is not my post or recomendation...just for those here that remember Rich and Joe...

If your looking for a great, friendly, home type of place to hunt deer and/or turkey in the midwest take a look at: http://lighthousedeerhunts.com/ Compare the price with other outfitters in the area, and you will see that you will save. We have over 2000 acres, stands are placed, or you're more then welcome to bring your own. The food is wonderful, the lodging is clean and the people, well they are wonderful and will make you feel like you're home. We are putting in food plots very soon. Last year was season number 1, we did very well, the area had a bad summer drought which lowered the overall size of antlers, but so far this year, the rain fall has been great, and excellent bucks have been seen!!!! If you have any questions on these hunts or anything in general about this please just ask
