My sister just called me and asked if I knew of anyone that wanted a chocolate lab,my niece knows someone that works at a animal care center and someone dropped it off because they are having problems paying their bills and they can't afford to keep it. All I know about it is that it's 1-3 years old and it is great with people and other animals.

I really hate when people give up their dogs,a dog is for life.

I'm DBucks sister. The lab is a male in the care of a vet tech in Allentown, Pa at the present time. He will be fixed. He is 1-3 years old. Weighs 40 pounds. He has been starved but is learning to eat again. I'm told he is friendly with other dogs and children, and knows basic commands.
PLease email me at [email protected] if interrested.

Sooooo true! If you don't have much money you curtail other expenses in order to keep your dog! A dog is part of the family! You don't give away your son or daughter if things get tight!

The dog found a home, thanks to those of you that showed some interest. I was really hoping that a hunter would have taken him but it didn't end up that way,oh well at least he found a better home.

DBuck, you put forth a great effort. I offered him to my parents but they just don't want a dog right now. Glad to hear he found a home.
