Fishy ordeal forces swimmers back to shore
The foul odor, and attack threat, prompts Brick to close beaches

Safety officials closed beaches to swimming in Brick Township yesterday because of fish parts washing ashore, creating a smelly and questionable refuge for overheated beachgoers.
The fish remnants, combined with the brackishness from an algae bloom, made for not-so-pleasant water conditions in that area, although it seemed to dissipate as the day progressed.
