Inshore Fishing Inshore fishing is a mix of striped b [no swearing please] and bottom fishing. On the striped b [no swearing please] front, Capt. Bob Bogan of the Gamble said the fishing has been good under the worming birds on Ava's when the boat has been able to fish. Bogan said he has been fishing both north and south of Manasquan Inlet.

Capt. Hank Leonard of the Golden Eagle said some decent b [no swearing please] and left-over bluefish was has been anywhere from one to three miles off the beaches to the north of Shark River Inlet. The charter boat Skylarker II enjoyed a mix of striper and bottom fishing. Capt. Steve Spinelli said he started off the week by putting the T&M Associates charter into a limit of stripers to 15 pounds and then picked up a fair catch of tog.
