Look closely the keys might have been a little wiped out from those Huricanes and the regulair boats might not be there. Go to any marina talk to Capts. and research what was caught the day before or the past couple days for that mater then verify it with any locale bait shops casually if they knew the past catchs could be confirmed.Research a little don't just sail with the Capt.or mate that talks the game. Make sure they are proven unless you don't mind the price of a boat ride.Depending on which key you go should be sailfish, occasional white and mid size blue marlin up to 250 maybe a little better. Plenty of Mia Mia (Dolfin) which are very sporting and large.Bottom fishing is real good as well. Depending on weather if should be a blast. We hope you hook em up. Let us know.

There' a boat call stress test in summerland, about 20 miles n. of the keys, it's a 20' center console.
My one son just came up from the Keys for Christmas and I'll be seeing him in about 2-3 hrs. He said he might be able to call a few friends that he knows charter down there. But you might be gone by then.

I think you would have fun either way. When in Mexico I didn't catch a fish but saw all sorts of things I haven't seen in New Jersey. Sea Turtles, Marlin sunning them selves. It was just a great experience.

I just came back from Key Largo. Caught snook, bones, and tarpon in the back bay in my daughter's boat. Had to help her move back to Jersey along with the boat. Bud & Mary's marina is the place to go. They willcharter either offshore or back bay. The water in the back cooled down so most of the action is offshore. Good luck!!!

Bud and Marys is a good place. You caught snook, tarpon and bones on your own boat. Your daughters? You got the inshore grand slam. Any pictures? You did real good since these fish are not all to gather. Flats, open water and lagoons and back water.Snook are in some inlets. Caught them in Palm Beach some times on cane pools on the tide rise.
