I was gonna get mine and go out on Monday but like some of you guys, Im not dumping more money on zone permits, buck tags, etc. Ive about had it with this state. I hunt 3 different zones for extended bow. Ive given the state enough of my money for hunting this year [eyeroll]

I didn't buy it either and with the weather report I'm glad. I'm mostly done with the deer and the freezer is stocked. I don't plan any gun for deer this year and will sit with the bow just to be out there. Geese & ducks from here on out. I'll spend december thanking everyone that allowed me to get out so much for the last ten weeks:D This will allow me to claim more dependents on the tax return too[hihi][hihi][hihi]

You think you guys have it bad...I'm hunting Jersey as a non resident. Although it's really expensive, the flip side is that even though Pa is cheap, if you take a buck with the bow, your done for the year, no buck for rifle season and you can then only take a doe if you applied for a doe permit. So in the long run I don't mind shelling out the cash for something I love to do, but....it is really expensive!

Haven't bought a gun license for years now. I actually thought about it seriously this year. I filled my permit bow buck tag on Halloween and had alot of time off so I scouted and hunted hard in NJ looking for something that would be worth trying for 6-day. Sad thing is, I haven't seen a deer from the stand in NJ since the one I shot on Halloween morning, and I've only worked 4 days since then...been out alot. Public land seriously sucks down here. I found absolutely no reason to buy a gun license.

I look at it this way. I have no problem spending money on the equipmet I need. The lost money from taking time off from work ( self employed) so I really don't look at the fees as an issue. Being what I already invested in hunting. $66 dollars what's 8 bags of corn. [ko]

I only buy one zone for permit shotgun now and I bow hunt the other zone. Sounds pathetic and maybe it is but I have to watch my spending. I enjoy bow hunting so thats fine but I agree their really taking advantage of hunters imo. If you want to hunt multiple zones or try out a different spot your paying, want a buck your paying, etc, etc.

6 Day is not 6 Day anymore as the op stated above with these doe days before the opener. people dont have something to look forward too! What ever happened to traditions? Does anyone care anymore...

Anyway I will hunt 6day with the gun and maybe just bow the rest of the season. Buck tags gee wiz my ass always feels sore after I buy all the tags and stuff.
