went out to check the herd on my readington property and came across a buck that didn't make it through the winter... looked to have been dead since the late fall... woulda been something someday... damn shame.

(and yes... it's still laying in the woods... even bigger shame)

i think he was hit by a car... wasn't near a water source and there weren't any nicks on his ribs (like there would be from a broadhead) or a hole in his ribs... he had a broken back leg from what i could tell...

it was tough to say though... just a bunch of bones barely held together by dry tendons/skin. plus the yotes and foxes moved alot of stuff around...
