Went to my honey hole in long valley today to put out a camera for later in the season bowhunting. 100 acres private property not far from ORT farms. And my lock on was gone. At least they left the pegs in the tree. On the plus side on my way out inbetween the 2 cornfields I saw 2 nice racks.

Theres kids that drink and swim near where I hunt. They tresspass on the property. I'm sure it was them. I'm just used to leaving my stuff in the woods in Mendham year round. I hunt behind 6 different houses there each having 5 acres. I know everyone so my stuff dont disapear. my fault I should have known better. Plus I heard bad thing about the people who hunt the ort property.

Orts are all good people and it probably wasn't one of the Orts that took your stand. I would find out who was hunting the property before you were given permission to hunt there, cause that's who probably stole it.

They were very friendly to my Dad and me going back to the late 60's early seventies. Last time I was up there was 10 years ago. The place changed so much after they sold a lot of property to developers.[sad]

Too bad it's a club that none of us want to be part of, but sadly, many of us are. Sorry about your Lock On.
