Guys what do you think about towing a 10' johnboat behind my skiff then hunting out of that and retrieving ducks out of that with the boat anchored 100yards up wind???

Anyone ever try that?
Good idea/bad idea?

I realized I need something else so I don't have the hassle of taking a boat blind on and off for hunting/fishing

Well yeah that would be nice but not everyone can have a dog for hunting

If you are going to hide the larger boat anyway have you thought about bringing materials to set up a temporary blind?

We tow our sneak boxes out with a bigger boat , you don't need a dog to duck hunt I've been gunning for 25 yrs now without a dog, yeah it could be a PIA sometimes but waterfowling is work !

Guys I put some more thought into it and I'm passing on the Jon boat idea. Took the advice of it being too much of a PIA to deal with two boats. I bought some supplies today to sort of deck and camo the open spots of the carolina skiff. I will post pictures as I go... Thanks for all the input guys

(Will be covered with plywood and have open spots to gun out of)
