I was surprised last night when I heard that Square Circle Sportsmen's Club has a rule restricting bows on their Archery ranges to those that are "hand drawn and hand held". Same as the old F&G restriction.
I'm sure that this type of restriction will be easily repealed now that Crossbows are legal hunting weapons in NJ.

But you might want to check with your Range officials before heading to your Range with your NEW Crossbow..........

Does it have to do with crossbows needing more advanced targets and backstops?

If you shoot a bolt into a bow target they tend to get stuck because the target is too deep and the bolt will just disappear in the target.That why they will not let you.

That's why "The Block" is nice, they slide right out
