jumped on a coworkers boat today with my dad and a few other guys. bay was flat, fish were small. got four puppy drum today, no big boomers. but still a nice day.

they are a pain to filet. i filet the skin, then filet the meat off. only one had worms in the tail section, the rest were good.

i'll run my boat next weekend looking for the big boomers.

They are so fun to catch. My biggest is a 66lber...fought it on 14lb test for about 2 hours!

I was out near Mial Mauh light, no luck there. I guess you were further south? I hope to get out somewhere again May 23rd but that's flounder season too.

yeah. they don't hang out up there in numbers till after the spawn. you need to go 7-8 miles south.

I was out west of the fleet. 3 fish to 40lbs 2 going to the table. There is nothing like drum parm 10 hours after they were swimming.
