Hey all, I usually butcher my own deer, and i will probably continue to do so, but I would like to take some meat/trimmings to someone to get some jerky, sticks, ground meat, sausage, etc made. can anyone reccommend a place that does good work and has good prices? also, I was wondering if any shops can make sopresata with venison?

I just called Janek's today to check they are still processing and they will be starting October. Although their website says they are open to 6 on Saturdays the lady told she is normally their until 5pm on Saturdays but you can always call if your running late. $80 for general cut. Sausages etc.. is extra.

Last year I used the drop off service at the Totowa Bait and Tackle which was a good price at $65 and nice to be able to check in the deer at the same time. Also very quick turnaround, not sure it its still available. However no extras available like sausage etc...

What other places out their in northern NJ for processing???

Would like to have choices based on where I shot the deer, temperature, and availability of hours. I wont hunt evenings if its warm and I know I cant get to a butcher int ime.

call adam's meat market in wallington sometimes they do it im just not sure if they start early eighter
