Also, does anyone know of anyone that would take the hides. I have called several people and can't find anyone who will take them. I would deliver them within an hours drive of northern NJ. I hate throwing them out... I am sure someone has use for them.... Thanks, and Good luck to all on Mon.!!!!!

Go to this site. www.funketraptags.com Purchase a

compound called Dixie Paste one jar will do an

average size deer hide. The cost is about $4.00 per

jar. I do all my own hides, deer, raccoon, fox and

coyotes. I still sell my muskrat hides and meat to

a fur buyer. I make way more money then if I sold

raw furs.

Till our trails cross,
Ryan

WW does Dixie Paste hard cure the hide ? What about fat and meat? I thought hides had to be scraped and cleaned. I want them soft like leather not a board with hair on it
I will e-mail you later with some tips. They will be as soft as a chamois cloth. You can leave hair on or remove. I'll explain later. I got to get to my stand soon, The guys on the next farm push them to me when they go to there stands. How you get to your stand is just as important as where.
