Deer Chow = lots of protein, works good in some areas
Corn = Energy, most areas - better in the dead of Winter
Mineral licks = Most areas, best in Summer & earily Fall

To be mixed with supplemental feed; WhiteTail Institute Cutting Edge = Very Good in Most areas, (Initiate, Optimize, Sustain)

Feed heavy Once, then no more then 5# each day you go out. That way you only feeding when your there, in turn making the deer change their feeding time. Thats why most people set there timer on their feeds before Sunset & after Sunrise.

APPLES /CARROTS / SWEET POTATOES / SUGAR BEETS / ALL BUT THE APPLES WILL KEEP FOR A LONG TIME IF YOU PILE THEM UP ON THE GROUND AND COVER THEM WITH A TARP UNTIL YOU WANT TO USE IT. CORN IS ALSO GOOD BUT OTHER CRITTERS WILL CONSUME IT FAST . IN MY PART OF SOUTH JERSEY TURKEYS WILL EAT 50 LBS A DAY. I ALWAYS USE SOME CORN WITH MY BAIT PILES. WHAT HAS NOT WORKED FOR ME /SWEET DEER FEED / TURNIPS /HAY /
SOYBEANS / OATS / WHEAT /RYE / HORSE FEED /SILAGE /

If you can get it feed the deer silage corn still on the cobb. They will carry the cobb in their mouth and drop them after the corn is all gone. I break the cobbs in half and after about two weeks it's like Hansel and Gretel, once I find a concentration of cobbs I put up a stand.
