Two cases have been found in two different deer in New York. Both deer lived on a fenced in private hunting land.

Man I hope those deer never came into contact thru the small holes in the fence with wild deer, if that happened or would happen we can have a problem like Wisconsin did, and who knows they way the deer travel they may even make here to New Jersey, and we don't need that crap!!

I was hoping to find out if the herd was transfered from out west (or came into contact with such a deer). If it occured naturally (although I can't imagine why) it doesn't bode too well for the eastern deer herds... espcially NJ... the close proximaty of the deer, the size of the herd, it will probably spread like wildfire.:(

No, blue tongue is cause by gnats, its viral code is EHD. We had that here in 1999/00 a bad drought year. Place a map of Wisconsin over the map of NY, NJ and PA. Deer have no clue about borders. I don't care who you are fenced in property is not hunting regardless of the size. I have worked and spent time at shooting preserves and to watch a wealthy man shoot mallards out of a crate by the dozens, doesn't make him a waterfowl hunter. Fair chase! All the way.

Till our trails cross,
Ryan
