Down in Mississippi they're called "Mudbugs" and "Crawdaddies", instead of Crawfish, and you can buy them live for $0.25/lb. live and $0.45/lb. cooked in a "boil".

I can tear through about 10 lbs. of those little critters as an appetizer before dinner!!!! [smirk][up]

I can't wait for the first week of June to come around so I can get some of them "fresh" bugs at the Fest. [cool]

They're "in-season" in April/May/June time frame, but are usually full of roe in July/August.

Last time I had them was in New Orleans at Mardis Gras 2004. [cool]

So ya talked Outlaw into wasting $50.00 to go fluke fishin' this weekend, when I can get at least two of ya on my boat and do it for free (boat is gased up - only costs are food, soda, and bait!!!! And, the waters warm enough where we can even seine for our bait.

But, you are RIGHT about Bambis Only!!!

Bambis Only offered me $300.00 to be his friend, to talk to him like I'm his friend when in front of other people, and to take him fishin' with me!!!:D

We have a 30 yd. rule when fishing - He has to stay at least 15 yards AWAY FROM ME in the upstream and downstream areas, and for that matter he can't be within 15 yds. in the 360 degrees around me, otherwise he can't fish with me anymore and if I'm driving, I'm leaving him at streamside!!!!:D[smirk]

JT, the guy I go with is great. Its a charter boat so there is only 5 guys. We catch a ton of fish everytime we go. The worst day we ever had was 15 keepers and 50-60 throw backs. My dad limited out the one time, 48 keepers. I have a boat too but it wont be in the water for another two weeks. Once it is we will all go out.

Just avoid Bambis only from getting behind you and you are ok [up]

The reason I endure him fishing with me is that, unlike the rest of the "girls" in the club (especially guys who only shoot 70 - 90# deer like you), he was the only one who had the balls to try something new and go out and buy a fly rod, other than Jody and myself!!!! [cool]

Too bad it cost his Dad, not him!!! :D

Fly fishing is a blast!!!! [up][up][up]

Unfortunate that I forgot that it all adds up ($$$)quickly !!!![sad][smirk]

70-90# DEER, DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO? I ONLY SHOOT THE BIG ONES. I ALSO DON'T HAVE TO FAKE AN INJURY JUST SO I CAN SHOOT A DEER DURING ARCHERY SEASON. I THINK THE REASON HE BOUGHT A FLY ROD IS CAUSE YOU GUYS ARE MORE THAN FRIENDS.

You're KILLIN' ME!!!!:D

I THINK YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS!!!:D:D:D

IT APPEARS THAT YOU'VE GOT "FLY FISHING ENVY" - SORRY THAT OUR RODS ARE LONGER THAN YOURS!!!:p

...AND, IT IS NOT NICE TO PICK ON HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS!!![down]....I've got a good mind to rip off one of my bad arms and smack you around with it!!!!:D:D

I THOUGHT YOUR DAD TAUGHT YOU BETTER THAN THAT, BUT I CAN CLEARLY SEE NOW THAT YOUR BROTHER IS THE SON WHO GOT ALL OF THE BRAINS, SMARTS, AND TRUE HUNTING SKILLS PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE GENE POOL!!!!:D:D:D

I GUESS THAT YOU WERE ONE OF THE UNFORTUNATE FEW WHO WAS WADING IN THE SHALLOW END OF THE GENE POOL AT BIRTH (w/a spinning rod, of course)!!![smirk]:D:D

Nutsy isn't my cousin!!!

My Uncle is an Uncle by marriage, not blood!!! My Aunt has the "good blood, good genes, and good mannerisms"!!![smirk]

Like you didn't notice the difference in "attitudes" and "mannerisms"?!?!?!?!?:D[smirk] [smirk]

JT, it was a little slow fluking, Wiz did good though. He never went before and caught one that was 3lb 11oz, he doesnt even realize that's HUGE. We got 6 keepers in total and 6 throw backs. We also got another one over 3lbs and one over 4lbs. So i guess it was a trade off to catch big ones but not many fish.
