So me and some friends started to goose hunt last year got our selves 12 shell decoys. Now currently we don't have the money to buy floaters and would like to hunt his pond.

So I came up with this idea on how to convert them to floaters, see what you guys think.

If I take some of that GREAT-STUFF (spray foam insulation) and spray it into the decoys after coating the inside with oil, I will have a foam body to put in and have the float. The Oil will prevent the foam from sticking so I should be able to take the foam out when I want to use them in a field.

Any thoughts, or has anyone tried this with success?

Just cut a piece off and put it under?
Wouldnt that put the decoy off balance and have it flip over?
