Swapped out my memory cards today and got a picture of this weird buck. Looks like his right front leg is messed up.

Guess that explains his messed up rack. I always thought a messed up side rack is opposite of the injury side. Maybe that holds true when its the opposite rear leg not the front. Oh well who knows, I guess I don't.

I would say he got hit by a car on that side. The main beam looks broken as well as that ankle.

Looks like a recent injury since he was in velvet. To bad he was becoming a decent buck. Give him another year and I bet that side grows back, although the rack will probably be distorted.

I left my cam there to see if i can get more shots of him. I have pics of him through out the day. For 5 days straight. My stand is 10 yards from that stump. But its still a bummer he's busted up.

almost looks as if the broken side is an un-shed antler from last year. would be nice to zoom into it to see for sure. If the antler was broken recently wouldn't there be signs of healing and bone growth?
