From Shannon's Fly & Tackle Shop: We continue to plan for our River Festival. The Bubba Wanted Alive Contest is also slated to go. Look for the signs along the river here in Califon by the third week in April. This fish will be enormous (30"+ Rainbow trout, from what I've been told by the shops Owner) and if successfully caught and photographed will win the lucky angler a JP Ross rod! If you kill the fish, don't bother coming into my shop, you'll be on probation!!!

Shannon's Fly and Tackle, a local institution for decades, will coordinate the youth (under age 16) fishing derby set for April 30th, and is sponsoring two of the trout. Their participation in the project also brings some great exhibitors out to our small town for the day of the derby: both Trout Unlimited and Scott Rods are scheduled to appear at the event.
