I had a older Belgium made 30-06 when It was real cold out the gun wouldn't cycle the rounds. I wouldn't buy one there to heavy you'd be much better off with a bolt action gun.

No reason why it wouldn't cycle in cold weather. Maybe too much oil or many guys make the mistake of using WD-40. [wallmad]

I own three, all Belgium, a Grade I 308, a Grade II 30-06 and 300 Winchester Mag, all shoot great, never had a cycling problem, if you do you either didn't clean the gun right or loaded the magazine wrong. Very light recoil. They weight about 7 1/2 pounds W/O scope, the same as a Weatherby Vanguard. Get one you won't regret it. I use mine in New York State, can't use semi's in Pa. and will be taking the 300 out west. The BAR is a lot lighter than the 7mm Weatherby Accumark that I use out west.
