Since I'm not ready for the summer to be over yet I finally got around to unloading the camera and found these pix figured you guys would enjoy them.

We didn't shoot anythign but had a blast...river was way over flooded b/c of all the rain we had this year!

yea we had like 30 somethin days of rain in a row that was the first nice day we had so we jumped on it! what a blast we had just roving around can't wait for next year! Now i"m fully rigged up just shy a boat so I'll have to work on that for next year!

WOW, nice pictures, Andy great load of carp you got there! That must be hard shooting them out of a duck boat like that! Sting Rays AWESOME! They must fight like son of a guns! Nailed them with the old recurve all the pictures are definetly COOL![up]

This August I was out on former TANJ president Phil Muller's boat, when we shot these sting rays. The biggest was about 60lbs and the smallest was 25#. They were shot with my Sammick 55# Hawkeye Recurve!
Very exciting, you shoot them with a fish arrow attached to a line that is tied onto a big gatorade bottle! When you hit the fish and it peels off line it' pulls the bottle off the bow! You chase to bottle and try to get a second arrow in the ray, then you can manhandle it to the boat!

I made 80 delicious crab cakes that weekend out of the ray meat! Between my daughters, neighbors, and nephew they were gone by Monday! Incredible!!!!
