Bow - Can I Come Over?

Drag/Matty the range on taylor road is actually maintained by the Green Mt. bowmen...They supplied the targets...We just let them set the range up on F&W property...The range is open to the public 7 days a week...The Parking lot for it is right on Berkshire Valley Rd. Across from the bridge over the rockaway...There is a big Rockaway River WMA sign in the lot and also a sign pointing to the trail to the bow range...Or you can drive down Taylor Rd about 75-100 yds and there is a trail that comes out to the road with a small pulloff...There is no sign there though...Its a nice range they have 4 layerd foam backstops made by the "block"

Matty, Iyou find that range let me know. Maybe we can meet up there. I like the foam targets. I have broken too many arrows pulling them out of hay.

I found the range. They had 4 of those foam layer targets up. I met a guy named Frank there from Green Mtn. Bowmen. And yes, I gave him a NJH card.

Gotta love having a range so close to home!

What hours are good for you?

Just so you know, Sunday (all day) and Tuesday (evening) are no good for me. My brother is celebrating his B-day on Sun. and getting sworn in as a Police Officer on Tuesday evening. I get to hold the bible![cool]

I also want to try and get Mpemt and JerseyJim out to shoot with us, but we may have to make it different days, I know how schedules always seem to conflict. Work, it gets in the way of life.[mad]

We might be able to practice back to almost 45 yards there, it should be a lot of fun. Probably should bring some skeeter repellant though. I was kicking up lots of bugs in that little field.

So when do we want to go shoot?

I'm Glad you found it, not many people know about it. The only draw back is the BUGS, If you get a chance take a walk up to the first ridge to the right of the range. had trailcam pics of a Good 8 pointer there last year. Hopefully he made to this year.
