not 1st week I'll be hunting fields. After that I'll be hitting some public spots during the week in the boat. You can come then.

BobR, do you ever hunt in the Meadowlands, East Rutherford? I heard there is some great waterfowl hunting in there, if you know where to go. I grew up in East Rutherford, 5 minutes from the swamps, but don't know anyone that's into waterfowl, and therefore never got into it myself. Just curious.

Saw Mill WMA is there, but you can only get there by boat. Butyou are right, there are tons of waterfowl.

I know people who hunt the meadows. They do very well on ducks. It's tricky to hunt they tell me because of the tides.Something about watching all the trucks going by just isn't right & that mud there is to NASTY LOL. They even have a hose at the boat ramp to wash the mud off your boat.

I wish I had some more time. August is already over! I usualy only hunt ducks at the very end of the season. I love to hunt waterfowl but I love to do too many things and don't get a chance for all of them. I bought a boat to hunt ducks from 4 years ago....It still hasent been on 1 duck hunt, only a few fishing trips in the summer
I would really like to get in on a duck hunt with you. If you have any room left!

Bob, Thanks for the offer but I am busy building my house in Pa. Spend too much time on it and won't have the time to train a pup but after we move in next spring and I spend the summer finishing up.....we will get our hounds. Jeff will get them started for me.
Do you ever read bear hunting magazine? There was a story about hound hunting in the western states and wolves that are killing hounds. It had some pretty graphic pics of the hounds that were killed.
