Who have I badmouthed? No one! I will not do that either. You can see I am very new here. I just heard of this site, and said what the hell, I have nothing better to do. I am just telling you folks the truth and will never lie. I have nothing to gain from lying. Nor, am I trying to agitate anyone, just the truth. I am not a troll. Sometimes I am away from my computer for a length of time, but will return toy answer any questions regarding a post of mine. It is hard to convey feelings over the Internet, so if you feel like I am flaming someone or being a smartguy, I probably am NOT.

Most farmers I know (with the exception of myself) csn't stand deer meat. They grew up eating it every day. So, they won't want the meat. And, the almighty dollar rules up here since all the city folk moved in. Raising taxes, smart-mouthed kids, damn crime, road rage idiots. In the day and age of machinery, we need no favors really, just maybe someone to post the property yearly. The true locals are afforded the favors, not the Bergen County ding dongs who move up here and bitch about the bears. They should move back to the city where the only big black things thay have to worry about are the gang members.

It's crazy, we need CCW up here. Shall issue. You know what I mean.

The influx has been here for some time, can't even go to the store unless it is before 7am or you sit in traffic. Used to pay wiffleball in the middle of the road growing up--the friggin cars would stop for you if they saw you were rounding the bases. Unreal.

Yeah, but don't you guys pull some good bucks out of Monmouth? Where are these deer coming from? Is it suburbs? Are these deer hiding behing the houses? It has been a long time since I've been down that way. I know guys who sit on their deck and shoot deer in Middlesex Co. and here as well in Sussex. Is it the same down there?

Yeah that's me. I was asked to post that thread by a member who wanted to remain anonymous so he could see the responses in a sterile enviornment. So I used my e-mail and a different handle. He wanted to see if a certain member would post for whatever reason. That is how I found this site. He told me to go here & that there is more content here. And, I'm glad I did. I would have never thought in a million years that a forum like this existed. So many people talking about their hunting land, experiences---in my neck of the woods. Ten years ago, you would have had to go to the local bar to hear this stuff. I have never been on a forum for hunting, only politics, auto repair, and firearms. He told me to try it out. So, I did. Why what's the problem? Am I suspicious or something?

NJ_Bowhntr,

No reference to any other people, THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE THREAD OVER THERE!!!!! Someone asked me to post so they could draw someone out to see what they had to say. He wanted to see if someone he knew was a member of the other site. Obviously they are not, or they would have posted. It was harmless investigating.

As far as bashing city hunters, I am somewhat gulity. I think they are funny. I think they are crazy for paying the prices they pay just to hunt. Complete nuts!! My experience with them has been mostly bad; jumping in the middle of our drives, cigarette butts, candy wrappers, New Yawk accents. Mea culpa, Sin Loi.

I DO NOT try and ruffler feathers, I only tell the TRUTH and the complete truth, I can't help it if people can't accept that.

Don't hold it against me if I am educated in certain topics more than others (NJ FID card threads) I will tell you, cops, prosecutors, any one else the real deal when it comes to firearms.

I'm not trying to play both sides of ANY argument. Someone wanted me to try and draw someone out over there. Didn't work. Relax, It was harmless fun. This is my first time on any hunting forum. And, I love it. It beats work!!! That's how I found this site, he told me about it. I never knew it existed. I have only registered this morning.

Anyone can think I am an anti-hunter all they want; but, I'll tell you this: There isn't a damn thing you or anybody else can tell me about deer hunting that I don't already know. I have probably forgotten more than most people know. Unless you have "hunted" on a farm depredation permit, there is no real legal way you have shot as many deer in the state of NJ as I have. Even in the last few years where you could take unlimited does, I find it highly unlikely anyone here has shot 80-100 deer off of their property.

How? I am not computer savvy, do not have a digital camera, only 35mm. And don't have a scanner-even if I did I wouldn't know how to use it. We don't take pictures of depredation "harvests" there is no point of it. Maybe a few here and there. A picture of a molly with two button bucks laying side by side with a Y buck or a typical jersey 6 pointer ain't New Jersey Herald material if you know what I am saying. It is quite boring to just sit there off the hood of a pickup with a scoped 1100 and shoot 3-5 deer at a clip, then drive down the road and shoot two more. Driving through a field at midnight with a spotlight and opening up on a couple deer with 00 gets old after a while. Trust me, ask anyone in the know, they will tell you if they are honest. Sorry, after 25 years of doing it there is no thrill. When I was in high school, yeah, shits and giggles. Just because we were legal to do so. Back when we could shoot two bucks per season, I could shoot as many as I wanted and was forced to by the farmer whose land I was occuping at the time. I do not brag like some people, only city hunters do that. I have never had any taxidermy done either. The dogs got to chew the antlers, except for some of the big ones of course. I'll see if I can scrounge up a digital and take some pics of the box of antlers laying in the barn. Someone will have to lend me help in downloading them.

bloodtrails,

it's not funny, its the truth. There is very little deer "hunting" in NJ. Going out and sitting in the crotch of a tree or on a rock and plugging a deer ain't hunting---its shooting. I suspect very few "hunters" in nj do belly crawls, when they can have one of their buddies do a drive and chase the deer to them. Am I wrong? Seriously. It ain't rocket science.
