Hit BR today. The rain kept a lot of people away which was nice. Went 2 for 5, sort of. 1 of which I let gus flush a bird for a new hunter. "first bird that wasn't in tree or running" Kid was excited.
The birds sat tight today and then ran like mad before they got up. Gus chased the last rooster in some super thick briars for 10 mins before he flew. I thought my dog lost his mind and actually tried to call him off.
Did have one group of idiots decide to block the end of a small field we were hunting. Nothing like staring down the barrel of a bunch of guys 70 yards from you while your dog is working a bird towards them. Dropped one in front of them and they got the drift that I was serious when I asked them to move [rofl]
