Hey guys, I used to frequently check njstriper.com and logged on today to read a tragic story. I'll post the story and the benefit fishing event for anyone interested.
Our Friend Setve Gilmartin lost his 9 year old brother, Kevin Snyder, to cancer last Friday.
His mother is left heartbroken and in financial straights.
We Are organizing a FUN day at IBSP to get surf fisherman together, raise money for Steve's mother, and have a little friendly competition (with donated prizes too)
If you would like to fish the event (or simply donate), you can register by sending a check made out to myself, Brian Mullaney to the address below.
All proceeds go to Steve's mother.
Please make sure you include the names of ALL individuals you are paying for, as well as whether they will be fishing in adult or chidrens category.

Here's the story from his brother!!
Well folks, I have kept this off the board untill now becaues I have had the best hopes for things, but now it is getting bad. Two months ago my little brother, Kevin Snyder, was diagnosed with cancer. He has a rare form known as AT/RT. Yesterday at about 3:00pm I was called and told to get to the hospitol as fast as I can. I live in the Raleigh area and it was a 7 hour ride. Not knowing if I would make it in time I flew up 95 to get there. I made it and he is stable in PICU. But the docs told us yesterday we can take him home because there is nothing else they can do for him but make him comfortable. HOW CAN ANYONE JUSTIFY TAKEING THE LIFE OF A 9 YR OLD BOY. My mom has taken a leave of absence from work and the bills are getting really far behind. We are haveing a fund raiser to help out this Friday at the Vineland Ice rink.
There will be a 50/50, Shirt sales, and skill shots.
General admission is 6$
All proceeds will go to my mom and step dad. If you would like to attend and want more info call My sister or brother in-law
