I work my second job in my office which is above my brothers detached garage in Sloatsburg. I always bring my dog and leave the door open so she can go out in the yard and come back in as she pleases. To make a long story short i thought i heard her coming up the stairs but it was more like a scratching sound, I look and there's about a 250-275lb black bear with a white tag in its ear walking up the steps, I yelled and it took off down the stairs ran into the road, it checked the neighbors empty garbage can then went on its way into the woods, couldn't believe it, i went back to find my dog sleeping by the wood pile like nothing happened (shes 16)[sleep] im assuming the bear smelled the dog food, I think im going to leave the 10 guage up there from now on!
