Does anyone fish this lake and if so what is the best baits for b [no swearing please] and pickerel and when is the best time morning or evening?

Shiners, small herring, and killies (that's right, saltwater bait !!! - They last longer than the previous two mentioned baits, especially when hooked through both eyes) have always worked best for me there.
Zara Spooks and "Broken Back"/Jointed Rapalas work well there, also.
Note that there are some monster channel cats in the lake, also.
Either morning or afternoon/night are good.

Due to the bad weather forecast we are not going striper fishing tomorrow althoug i am going to take my boat to lake assaupink. Haven't fished it in a while does anyone know if this lake gets real crowded. Thinking of getting there by 5 a.m. and fish until about 10 a.m. What is the best lure for b [no swearing please] and pickerel in this place and what are good areas to look at fishing in the lake?

I'd like to hear some tips on catching those cats too. Might be a good trip for the kids.

Duck or goose livers saved over from huntin' season are the best bait - But, I usually eat them, so the next best bait is chicken livers, followed by beef hearts bought from your local food store. If they are left in the sun a little, this adds to the attraction, but right out of the container works, also.
Channel cats love them, and so do bullheads. If fishing the Delaware River, Stripers will take the livers, also.
You won't have to worry about other panfish taking your bait using those mentioned above.
Shiners (live or dead are also good), but you may have to worry about b [no swearing please] swiping them.
Use the elastic "stretchy" string to tie the livers to your hooks. It can be purchased in any saltwater bait and tackle shop.
I use a med. light to med. rod with 10# test line on a spinning eel.
Slide on a light slip/egg sinker (enough to hold bottom), then tie on a small barrel swivel, then tie on about 1-2 feet of line, then your hook. Bait up, then start near the eye of the hook with a few wraps of stretcy string,, then wrap it a few times around the bait and then work back to where you started wrapping. A few more wraps, then break the remaining roll of stretchy string away.
Cast it out, and NOW YOU'RE READY TO GO !!!!

Went to aussapink this past saturday and didn't catch anyting. Tried hula poppers, buzzbaits, rebels,
jitterbugs. Anyone know what i was doing wrong. I fished morning times. Any help would be appreciated. What about catfish in aussapink

There was a bait shop right down the road from the boat launch. It closed down. I heard (but can't confirm) that the owner sold out and they will be building on his property soon.
In terms one that is still open, the closest ones I know of are in the trenton/ewing area.
